Neighborhood
Starlight Lookout glamping site is located in the Hornbuckle/Cranberry Falls Community at the elevation of 4200 ft. Tent is tucked away at the end of a dead-end road on the 1,5 acres of private land. Only one other cabin is located on the same shared road. You can see the log cabin from the site however in summer months it is barely visible due to foliage. Site is only few minutes away from Blue Ridge Parkway. We recommend to take a drive and stop for breathtaking views and hike the Waterrock Knob Trail for a fantastic view. Maggie Valley (15 min away) - a charming little town has many spots to visit for ice cream, crafts, gems, souvenirs and local restaurants. Entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only 25 minutes away pass the Oconaluftee Visitor Center. Stop in Waynesville (25 min) to get your grocery shopping done in major markets (Publix, Ingles) and explore charming Main Street for local boutiques and gift shops or grab a bite in local restaurants. Cherokee (20 min) offers many family attractions, shopping, Cherokee Indian Art, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino and much more. If you are lucky you might enjoy elk strolling in town.
